The world-renowned tenor named Tito Merelli has been signed on to the play titled Otello at the venue of a Cleveland opera company. This had been during the autumn of the year 1934. In the meanwhile, the characters of the tenor’s jealous wife, his striving female lead and Max’s young girlfriend all come into contact with one another after a series of comic incidences.
The play has numerous harmless yet suggestive elements (one of the scene being where the two female characters end up in nothing but their undergarments while a comic seduction scene is going on).
